Caldwell Cougars Varsity Grabs Lead In Seventh Inning For Victory Over Mountain Home
Caldwell Cougars Varsity took the lead late in the game in a 3-1 victory over Mountain Home on Wednesday. The game was tied at one with Caldwell Cougars Varsity batting in the top of the seventh when there was an error, scoring two runs.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Caldwell Cougars Varsity pitchers struck out eight, while Jake Bennent sat down four.
Corbin Beets earned the win for Caldwell Cougars Varsity. He went six innings, surrendering one run, two hits, and striking out six. Gerardo Madera recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Caldwell Cougars Varsity. Bennent took the loss for Mountain Home. He tossed seven innings, allowing three runs, four hits, and striking out four.
Carlos Flores, Robbie Dowen, Beets, and Ryan Reeves each managed one hit to lead Caldwell Cougars Varsity.
